Adam has been working as a specialist wood finisher and restorer for over 35 years.
Originally trained as a French polisher, Adam studied cabinet making, restorative cabinet making and specialist finishing under Bruce Luckhurst at both West Dene College and Bruce’s workshops in Kent.
After a six year stint in the central London workshops of Godson & Coles, Adam established his own studio in South London. Over the last 26 years, Adam has build a network of specialist colleagues in fields including decorated, lacquered and Japanned surfaces, gilding, carving and cabinet repairs.
Specialising in English and European furniture from the 17th, 18th and 19th Centuries, through to contemporary 20th Century and modern, Adam offers a complete conservation based restoration service.
Having worked for many leading English Antique furniture dealers both in the UK and overseas as well as private collectors, decorators and institutions, Adam has built a reputation for open collaboration with clients. He is committed to capturing and elevating the integrity of each piece of furniture that arrives at the workshop.
Adam is a fully accredited member of BAFRA. All work undertaken is fully insured in monitored alarmed premises.
